Seraphverse: A Date?

Celestia was on a mission, she was finally going to ask out Sunburst- she’d had her eye on the unicorn since he’d arrived back in Canterlot. He first approached her about the open position for Professor of Old Magic and History at her school and she hired him almost immediately. He’d certainly matured since he last saw her and she’d had to restrain herself from an honest-to-her wingboner. She visited him often after the school day ended and they’d talk about anything and everything- however she’d had to keep herself from flirting quite a bit- but now she was ready. She was going to tell the unicorn how she felt and ask him on a date.

She knocked on the door to his classroom and walked inside thinking,’Be smooth Celestia, be smooth, you aren’t some love struck yearling!!’

“O-oh, good evening your majesty, what brings you here?” Sunburst asked, getting up from his desk.

Celestia gave a smile and leaned down, “Well Professor, I came to ask you a question. How would you feel about joining me for dinner? We can take a walk around the castle grounds afterwards and talk.”

The smaller unicorn began to blush, “Y-your highness, n-not to seem rude but isn’t that- Well-“

Celestia chuckled, “Improper? Not at all, and please call me ‘Tia’. Being called ‘Your Highness’ all the time makes me feel old.”

Sunburst’s blush deepened, “U-um alright..T-Tia? I’d love to go to dinner with you.”

Celestia grinned and closed the gap between them, pushing her muzzle on his, looking him in the eyes whispering, “I’ll pick you up at seven.~”

She then abruptly turned away from the red faced unicorn, walking out, “See you later Professor.~”

Sunburst could only make indiscernible chirps and whinnies in reply.
